Do you really feel UT can run the table?

Honestly I take that as a slap in the face of Bama, Ole Miss and Georgia.


UT can win 7-8 games, I feel they will, but I dont see them beating Ole Miss, or winning at Alabama.

Its not like the UT offense is that terrible, the running game is very effective. The QB play is subpar, but the running game is good.

Kiffin is trying to instill confidence in his QB, theres no shame in that.

If he had a very viable option at QB, he would use it. Who does he have?

Stephens is hardly better than Crompton.

One adjustment he could have made a long time ago would have been; not running off Tajh Boyd. He might not have been what he wanted, but he couldn't be much worse than what he's got now.

Again, i agree and i took nothing you said offensive...just was saying i wasnt getting in ****ing contest because i am just a fan and have never coached football at the college or High School level and i dont have the football knowlege from a coaches perspective to make educated opinions to the details of the Tennessee program. I can only make personal ones pertaining to the overall program that i have watched for my entire life in which i (as well as the rest of the Vol Nation) have had high expectations.

I understand the great points you and others have made. I am not disputing any of those and take those opinions to be really good assessments. I am only saying there are options there...i dont know who or what they are...but i am not the one getting paid nor as mentioned am qualified to figure them out.

I wish the Vols the best going forward and look forward to several years down the road when everything is back in place.

Why waste a scholarship on somebody you don't think is gonna ever play a down for you. There is a reason he chose to let Boyd move elsewhere, what that reason is I don't know but there was a reason for it. I will hold all my assessments toward Kiffin until a couple of years down the road.

Plus Boyd isn't even listed on Clemson's 3 deep depth chart at QB. I think I remember seeing where he may have been injured in fall camp and that may be the reason for it but only time will tell.

Well I think he was saying with the QB situation being so bad, taking a player that might contribute could have helped.

Yeah I can see that but I am guessing he thought to himself that there was no way the QB situation could be as bad as it looked. You already had 3 QB's on scholarship with two being underclassmen he probably figured he could weather thru this year and get his QB's in the next year after their own evaluations.

I guess you never know what they are thinking or their reasoning behind it

I don't blame him for letting 5'11" Tajh Boyd go. The kid had been a UT fan all his life, but so had I. I'm not getting an offer either. Their offense is bad enough without turning it into Virginia Techs.

And Bill. Good, I thought you thought I was banging on you. Trust me, he has little to no options with what he can do at qb. I think Stephens may be slightly better, and Kiffin may be seeing that now. I don't blame him for going with Crompton up to this point with what he'd saw from the two to this point.

Do you guys really feel Stephens is better than Crompton?

I haven't seen anything in Nick's game that says he is much of an upgrade of Crompton.
